Compact GuardLogix 5380 Controller
The newest Compact GuardLogix® 5380 safety controllers can help you optimize your investment, improve your machine performance and get you more integrated in managing safety applications.
For SIL 3/PLe safety applications, the Compact GuardLogix 5380 SIL 3 controller system consists of a primary controller with an internal safety partner, that function together in a 1oo2 architecture. The primary controller configures the safety partner. Only one download of the user program to the primary controller is required. The primary controller controls the operating mode of the safety partner.
This new SIL 3 controller completes the Compact GuardLogix® 5380 safety portfolio and benefits customers who adopt safety in their applications:

440G-EZ Electromagnetic Interlocking Switch
The 440G-EZ Interlocking switch is designed to enhance machine safety and reliably, help protect a working process from unplanned downtime, which will help improve productivity and increase efficiency. This safety switch combines a Power to Lock (PTL) magnetic locking function with a 500 N holding force and generous 5 mm tolerance to misalignment. Intended for use on all types of guard doors, 440G-EZ electromagnetic safety switches are TÜV certified up to Cat 4, SIL 3, PLe – the highest level of safety for guard position and lock monitoring. The 440G-EZ also features a low-profile housing design with multiple mounting (surface or flush mount) and connection options including 5-pin or 8-pin M12 micro quick disconnect pigtails for optimal installation flexibility.

Many of our customers have asked about training opportunities available to your technicians and engineers should they be forced home for reasons other than caring for themselves or others. Rockwell’s E-Learning platform will provide you and your employees the flexibility needed to fully utilize this time while upgrading skills. 15 courses are currently available covering topics on PLC maintenance and programming, drives, motion, visualization, and networks. E-Learning is also now accepted as a prerequisite for the accelerated certificate courses CCP250 and CCP300 and CEU credits are awarded for successful completion of each course.
Licenses can be obtained for 90-day access to a single course or 365-day access to the entire portfolio. Group licenses are also available with supervisor monitoring to ensure the progress and completion of sessions.
